Please see our list of conditions for an idea of what we are able to treat. Some common problems that cannot be treated via telemedicine are acute chest pain, acute abdominal pain, acute traumatic injuries to the head neck or torso, symptoms concerning for a stroke, anaphylactic reaction or any life-threatening emergency.

How much will my visit cost?

  • EmergentNow accepts most major insurance plans and while the cost of your visit will vary slightly based on your carrier, the great news is that most patients will pay their regular office co-pay!
  • EmergentNow also accepts Medicare and Medicaid with standard co-pays

Our virtual visits take place over a secure and HIPPA compliant software platform. Our medical records are secured via the same HIPPA compliant medical record. Additionally, our providers are rigorously trained to protect your privacy.

Who are the EmergentNow healthcare providers?

  • All providers are board-certified and state-licensed in Primary Care, Urgent Care Medicine or Emergency Medicine. These providers were selected specifically for their dedication to a more patient-centered approach and personal touch that is missing from so much of modern medicine. To become an official EmergentNow Provider, they go through our credentialing process and are thoroughly trained on how to provide the best virtual care experience.
  • You can view our providers and their biographies on the EmergentNow website

How should I get ready for my telehealth appointment?

  • You should make sure you are in a quiet, well-lit area with a good internet connection
  • You should have your health information readily available including a list of your current medications, allergies, and chronic medical conditions

Other Questions

Is there an interpreter available for my visit if I don’t speak English very well?

Yes. We use an interpretation service called Stratus and have many languages available.

I am not familiar with how to set up my visit. Will there be someone to assist me with logging in to see a provider?

We have a team of live virtual assistants coupled with ancillary staff to assist any patient who is having difficulty logging in to see the provider. We will call you and go over the process step-by-step to ensure that you are connected to the provider for your visit.  In the event we are unable to get you logged on to eClinical Works for the visit, a provider may be able to do an audio call.

Can I see a provider if I travel outside of the United States?

All visits are only currently available in the United States.

How do you handle blood work, imaging and labs?

Your primary care provider can order lab work, imaging studies, referrals, covid testing, and vaccinations. If needed, your Care Team will assist you in connecting to an in-network lab or facility of your choice. Results will be reviewed with you by your provider, incorporated into your care plan, and uploaded to your account.

Can I request a specific provider?

Depending on your benefits, you may be able to select a specific provider for your visit. All providers are board-certified and state-licensed.
